Once a painter with words, Barbara Bayless Lacy now paints brilliant landscapes and scenes of Arizona’s early days. Using oils, she doesn’t try to imitate nature but rather to honor it with colors that may only flash for an instant as the sun sets, the clouds unfold, the moon rises. It is her way of saluting the environment. . . calling attention to the wonderful land we call Arizona. “A painting is a reminder of what we must not lose” she says.
She is active in the  Arizona Art Alliance, Arizona Artists Guild, Arizona Press Women, Scottsdale Artists League.
